| Leader of the Lebanese Forces Executive Council, Samir Geagea, indicated today that if certain sides have changed their minds regarding nominating Premier Hariri as the upcoming Prime Minister, then that would be due to the pressures they were subjected to. He added that if Omar Karameh is named as head of the upcoming new cabinet, the latter would be formed by Rustom Ghazali and Wafik Safa; thus rendering the situation similar to that of Gaza. Geagea also addressed a word to President of the Republic, General Michel Sleiman, calling on him to work on restoring the right to its people since we have returned to point zero in the country. Hence, the President ought to see what needs to be done, Geagea noted, adding that he relies on the President's dignity and honesty. Geagea also stressed that March 14th Forces shall not relinquish any efforts to re-name Hariri as the new Prime Minister, denying that Hariri has signed any settlement agreement. He added that Hizbollah is an armed organization that uses its capabilities for its party's political purposes that have no relation to the people's interests. Furthermore, Geagea addressed a call to the deputies of the nation, imploring them not to forget, for any instance, that they are deputies of the nation and that the existence of said nation depends on their actions.Geagea's words came in a press conference which he held today in Mo'rab, whereby he gave a briefing over the current crisis facing the Country. |
