Police searching for firearm after reports of a gunshot

A SEARCH is being carried out by police after reports of a gunshot being heard.

The call was made by a member of the public from Old Basford just after 5am this morning .

Police have closed Arnold Road and are currently searching the area as a precaution.

There have been no injuries reported and no confirmed sighting of a firearm.
