Clashes in Tahrir as election turnout over 70%

Violence erupted once again in Cairo?s Tahrir Square late Tuesday. Egypt's Health Ministry reported at least 88 people were hurt in clashes which reportedly started as disputes among vendors serving the massive crowd of protesters.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the turnout of the first round of the parliamentary election exceeded 70 percent. According to Al Arabiya sources, the party of Freedom and Justice, which was established by the Muslim Brotherhood won 70% of the votes of expatriates abroad. This party is set to win the majority of seats in this round.
