Unreported World | Nirvana Night | Live at the Apollo | The Walking Dead | Tamara Ecclestone | 30 Rock

Unreported World
7.30pm, Channel 4

Journalist Peter Oborne and director James Jones travel to Russia to examine the Nashi youth movement, who are dedicated to preserving the country's interests while drumming up support for Vladimir Putin. With Putin wangling the constitution to become president for yet another lengthy term after a brief duration as "prime minister", there's an understandable level of cynicism directed at the Nashi agenda. Oborne talks to the movement's critics and supporters. David Stubbs

Nirvana Night
9pm, BBC4

This year marked the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's massive-selling Nevermind, an album that fleetingly made inarticulate torpor the most cathartic power in rock'n'roll. This special night of programming focuses on the band at the height of their fame, with a 1991 Seattle concert (9pm), an episode of the show Seven Ages Of Rock (9.55pm), and finishing up with The Last 48 Hours Of Kurt Cobain (10.55pm), a documentary reminder that the recognition Cobain hoped for his music came with what was for him an untenable byproduct: fame. John Robinson

Live At The Apollo
9.30pm, BBC1

Live At The Apollo has had a profound impact on the fortunes of televised stand-up, with a horde of imitators littering the schedules in its wake. The best of these remains Channel Four's Apollo/Mock The Week hybrid, Stand Up For The Week (11.10pm, Channel 4). SUFTW arguably has the stronger roster of comedians in week one of this 12-round duel, with sets from Rich Hall and Sara Pascoe introduced by Jon Richardson. Live At The Apollo, meanwhile, boasts performances from Jason Byrne and Seann Walsh. Gwilym Mumford

The Walking Dead
10pm, FX

After the events that closed season one, it was a surprise to see Shane still hanging around as if not much had happened. It's easier to swallow now they've given him plenty to do as his medical-supply run with Otis gets increasingly out of control, leading to some shattering choices from the ex-cop. Scott Wilson and Pruitt Taylor Vince are welcome cast additions, helping to distract viewers from the fact that if this were real, then only Dale, Glen and the awesome Daryl would have the smarts to survive this long. Phelim O'Neill

Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl
10.30pm, Channel 5

Heiress Tamara Ecclestone, 27, gets her dogs groomed at Harrods, spends 10,000 chartering a plane to take her to Cannes and calls a doctor when she gets a spot. Out of touch with reality she may be, but this fly-on-the-wall series is her attempt to show "the real me". It's a fascinating glimpse into her life, the main aim of which seems to be to spend wads of her dad Bernie's cash while trying to launch a career. It's not all fun and games, though, as a tiff with her hard-to-like boyfriend, Omar, demonstrates. Hannah Verdier

30 Rock
10.30pm, Comedy Central

Jack returns to the office married, but to whom? It's a situation Liz tries to take advantage of, foolishly attempting to blackmail the arch-manipulator into reversing some of her show's cutbacks. Not a great premise, but it does give the less central characters a chance to shine. First, we get Dr Spaceman almost stealing the entire episode with a brief scene; and then there's Pete's increasingly dark asides about his home life. Perhaps best of all is Tracy's wife Angie as she tries to find gainful employment: "There's just one thing I won't do ? that's take orders from anyone ? ever!" PO'N
